Dr. Amza Ali is Chief Medical Officer of Avicanna Inc. He is specialist certified in Neurology by the Royal Colleges of Physicians (UK), having trained at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London, with subsequent training in epilepsy and certification in clinical neurophysiology at the New York Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. He holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto and is enrolled in a doctoral program at the prestigious Henley Business School, UK. Dr. Ali has devoted his entire academic career to the convergence of theory and practice of medicine and business, and to sustainable technological innovations in epilepsy. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Epilepsy Society. In 2019 he was elected a lifetime Global Ambassador for Epilepsy by the International League Against Epilepsy.
