Cate Murray
President & CEO, Stem Cell Network
Cate Murray is President and CEO of Canada’s Stem Cell Network, where she has led nearly a decade of growth, securing $117M to advance cutting-edge research, support early-stage clinical trials, invest in Canadian regenerative medicine companies, and train the next generation of talent. She began her career as a Ministerial policy advisor before taking on senior roles at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Council of Canadian Academies. With a background in government relations, public policy and communications, she also serves on advisory committees for the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging, the Praxis Spinal Cord Institute, the Public Policy Forum’s Life Sciences Leadership Table, and the Resilient Health Care Coalition. Cate holds an Honours Degree from King’s College at Western University and is a passionate supporter of STEAM education.
