Janette Panhuis
Board Member, Network of Networks (N2); Former Chief Operating Officer of the Population Health Research Institute
Recently retired, Janette holds 30 years of knowledge in health research and operations, including in-depth experience in quality assurance, and clinical trials management. Most recently, as Chief Operating Officer at the Population Health Research Institute in Hamilton, Canada, Janette established strategic direction and led the operations of 300 staff, with 50 clinician researchers conducting more than 75 ongoing clinical studies. Janette is a well-established expert in international clinical trial regulations having been invited by FDA and Health Canada to speak at Public Meetings on Good Clinical Practice reform and currently engaged as a stakeholder for ICH E6 revisions. Janette has also been actively involved in Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative (CTTI) as a project lead and member of the Executive Committee and has represented CTTI (Clinical Trial Transformation Initiative) in several speaking engagements on Quality by Design, Quality Risk Management and Site Qualifications. Janette holds over ten years of board governance experience at various institutions including Network of Networks (N2) – a Canadian organization advocating for clinical trial excellence. Janette obtained a Master of Business Administration at York University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Western.
