Liz Lylyk is the Director of the Research Improvements Through Harmonization in Manitoba (RITHIM) initiative at Research Manitoba.

Liz has over 20 years of experience in health research administration. At Manitoba’s provincial cancer agency, Liz held a key role establishing standard operating procedures, guidelines, and structure for clinical trial operations, ensuring that clinical trials were conducted to the highest standards. Liz is experienced in all aspects of clinical trial management including research agreements, budgets, site selection, submissions for research ethics boards, institutional feasibility and privacy reviews, regulatory compliance, site monitoring, Health Canada clinical trial applications, consent form development, trials with pediatric populations, and investigator-initiated trials.

At Research Manitoba, Liz leads the operations of the RITHIM division, including the Committee for Harmonized Health Impact, Privacy and Ethics Review (CHIPER) and the Provincial Health Research Privacy Committee (PHRPC). She is responsible for the successful development, leadership, administration, and management of the RITHIM program. This includes directing communications, stakeholder relations and quality management activities for CHIPER and PHRPC to ensure conformity with the applicable standards, policies and regulations associated with human research participant protections and privacy.
