Shrikant I. Bangdiwala, PhD, is Director of Statistics at the Population Health Research Institute, and professor in the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact, in the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University (Canada) since January 2017. He is professor Emeritus of the Department of Biostatistics of the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health. He has over 40 years extensive experience in design and analysis of multicenter randomized controlled trials; in multilevel analysis; and in the analysis of prospective longitudinal cohorts. He has been designated Fulbright Senior Specialist in Global Public Health, and has conducted over 250 short courses on research methodology worldwide. He has taught post-graduate level courses on randomized controlled trials not only in USA/Canada, but in Chile, Colombia, Brazil, South Africa, India and Thailand.
