Andrew Drummond is the Director of Health Policy at the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario, a position he has held since 2022.   His office is involved in offering commentary to government and other public bodies, preparing guidance for the health sector on requirements and best practices for the health sector, and in directly regulating a number of organizations in Ontario’s health sector that hold special capacities for the collection and use of personal health information under PHIPA, Ontario’s health information protection law, as well as other functions.  Prior to joining the IPC, Andrew held numerous positions in Ontario’s Ministry of Health, the University of Toronto, and the University of Alberta.
