Director of Kitchener’s CFFM Refugee Health Clinic; Founding President of the PEGASUS Institute; Fellow at the Balsillie School for International Affairs; Adjunct Professor in Health Sciences at Wilfrid Laurier University where he was Scholar in Residence from 2018-2020. He remains Assistant Clinical Professor in Family Medicine at McMaster University; Adjunct Professor in Environment and Resource Studies at the University of Waterloo; Adjunct Professor in Family Medicine at Western University where he was founding Director of the Global Health Office. He is past Vice-President of Nobel Peace Prize winning International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War and has written, taught courses and lectured around the world regarding Peace through Health.  Dr. Arya received the 2009 College of Family Physicians of Canada Geeta Gupta Award for Equity and Diversity and a D.Litt. from Wilfrid Laurier University and mid-Career Award in International Health from the American Public Health Association in 2011.
