Jay Konduros
Jay is a person with factor IX hemophilia who is a participant in a gene therapy clinical trial based in Philadelphia. Dosed almost four years ago, he has been symptom free ever since.
Since childhood, Jay’s life had been interspersed with a multitude of bleeding episodes and recovery periods. He has lived through many eras of hemophilia care, treating with blood plasma, factor concentrate, and recombinant products.
Jay currently owns and operates a bakery with his wife in Kitchener Ontario, and considers himself extremely fortunate to take part in such a life changing hemophilia therapy.
